Privacy Policy — CredCompare CRM Extension

This policy explains what the CredCompare CRM Extension ("the extension") accesses, why, and how that information is handled. The extension is a companion to the CredCompare CRM and is intended for use by CredCompare and its authorized users.

What the extension accesses

• Your Google account email and basic profile — used only to sign you in to your CredCompare CRM account (OAuth scopes userinfo.email and userinfo.profile). The extension does not use the Gmail API and does not read your mailbox in the background.
• Content of email threads you choose to save — when you click "save this email to the timeline," the extension reads the open thread's participants, subject, and a snippet from the Gmail page and stores it on the associated record in your CredCompare CRM.
• LinkedIn profile information you choose to add — when you view a LinkedIn profile and add it as a contact, the extension reads the visible profile details to create that contact in your CRM.
• Local browser storage — your session and cached CRM lookups are stored locally in the browser (chrome.storage) so the panel loads quickly.

How information is used

Accessed information is used solely to provide CRM functionality: authenticating you, matching contacts and companies to your leads, and saving items you choose to your CRM. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.

Where information is stored

Data you save is stored in your organization's CredCompare CRM, which runs on Google Firebase (Firestore). Google acts as our infrastructure provider. Session/cache data stays in your browser.

Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Data is processed only by CredCompare and the infrastructure providers required to operate the service (Google Firebase). We access, store, or share information only to provide and improve the CRM's single purpose described above; we comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention and deletion

Saved records remain in your CredCompare CRM until you or an administrator delete them. To request deletion of data associated with your account, contact asaf@credcompare.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
